The past few weeks have been so exciting, I don’t know where to begin! Lets start with thanking everyone who came along to our gig at the Albert Cuyp Festival, Amsterdam a fortnight ago, and also to the wicked crowd who came to shake it with us at Moods Jazz Club in Zurich last weekend. We loved you all! The Vipertones totally rocked the house, and still had enough time and energy for some truly bad behaviour in the dressing room involving bread and fruit. More on that another time…
We did a morning performance and interview for Netherlands Radio 6 a couple of weeks back. Such a sound, and so early in the morning! There are pictures up on their website and a place where you can listen back to the show. We had an ace time. Thanks Radio 6 for the warm welcome…and coffee!
The album is getting fantastic reviews, and as I continue to do more and more interviews for radio, national press and online sites all over Europe, I’m beginning to feel the buzz the album release is creating. It was a great pleasure to meet Thanassis, George and Konstantina all the way from Greece for an interview for FAQ Magazine. We will be going over to Athens in February 2010, to perform at the Half Note for several nights and we can’t wait!
Between now and then we have a mini tour in Spain at the end of October and we’re also gonna be at Womad Festival, Gran Canaria in November. In any scrap of time we have left, we’ll be piling our efforts and emotions into writing a new album, we’re not ready to leave the studio just yet!
So, there are some key things to look out for… We didn’t want to go quiet on you too soon. We’ve already started thinking about Christmas… That’s all for now. Laters, L x
